Why Psychology or More Importantly, Why Not?

Why Psychology or More Importantly, Why Not?

Why Psychology?

Do you feel like you are pulling your hair out sometimes or can’t quite get everything in the right place altogether? You know you don’t have to, it’s simply some, sometimes overwhelming expectations on all of us in life; work, family, relationships!!!

There are a range of reasons why one might consider psychology and certainly at different times and for experiences going on in their life. This is where my philosophy comes from as a Psychthurium. Are you living, growing or thriving?

If you’d like to be thriving, then you may consider psychology from a perspective of wellbeing, increasing some awesome strategies you already have.

Or more of a coaching perspective which may help you through a transition period. In terms of your family, personal or work life.

Psychthurium has the experience to share with career transition, and exposure to many workplaces and cultures and industries. There is certainly the opportunity to help you thrive in your career. Also, we can all do better at certain things or add on to things we’re doing. And I would love to be able to have that opportunity to add some value to you in your life and keep you thriving.

Let’s flip over to the other side, sometimes we might not be thriving, in fact we are just getting by. And this is okay too.

This can happen to all of us at different times in our life. Sometimes it can be harder than what it needs to be, there may be more challenges due to our circumstances or due to major changes in our life.

Or we could be challenged by mental health conditions, depression, anxiety, stress, Common challenges where it may actually just be hard to live day to day.

And that’s certainly where psychology can help you out through that really rough patch and give you some tools and techniques to get you moving in the right direction. Of course, it’s a matter of providing some empathetic support. Meeting you where you’re at and listening in the meantime. It’s a fine balance between meaningful support and moving forward with the tools and strategies provided, to make a difference in your life

Grow somewhere in the middle, undergoing development in your own personal space of physical and mental wellbeing. We are all growing in life every day.

Being uncomfortable to be learning and changing is so valuable and important, but we must make sure we have supports in place.

So, we may have come from a place where we were thriving, or we may have come from a place where we are living and needed some extra help. But now let’s have that growth mindset. I can’t do what yet. I want to be able to do this, but can you please help me so I can move forward and do this? Yes, absolutely.

That is where psychology can help you. support you on your journey to the next step. Whilst you are growing in preparation for that thriving stage.
